Hope in Every Morning

sunrise-1637376_1280-hope-blogA very unusual phenomenon happened this week in our area-a number of schools were cancelled for the whole day because of fog.  The adults were certainly surprised but the kids were nothing but excited.  Not snow, not freezing rain, but fog kept them at home!  Kids love an extra day off from school.  Could it happen again?  Some teachers told the students it’s unlikely but the students refused to believe it.  Why?  They were filled with hope.

You can be filled with hope too.  Even when you’re in the midst of troubles, health challenges, or financial struggles, hang onto your hope.   Here’s why,  “The Lord always keeps His promises; He is gracious in all He does.  The Lord helps the fallen and lifts those bent beneath their loads.  The eyes of all look to you in hope; you give them their food as they need it. When you open your hand, you satisfy the hunger and thirst of every living thing.  The Lord is righteous in everything He does;  He is filled with kindness.  The Lord is close to all who call on Him, yes, to all who call on Him in truth.”  (Psalm 145:13-18)  God is willing and able to meet you right in your place of need.  Be confident of this, a new day is coming and your situation is going to get better.  “The faithful love of the Lord never ends!  His mercies never cease. Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning.  I say to myself, ‘The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in Him!  The Lord is good to those who depend on Him, to those who search for Him.  It is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.'”  (Lamentations 3:22-26)  So take a deep breath, lean in, and trust the One who can handle all you are facing.  And keep hoping, because you never know what the morning will bring.
