I am fortunate to drive a car that is very reliable, 99% of the time. One Saturday it didn’t start when I was headed to a toddler’s birthday party. That’s bad timing! I called a towing company and they arrived three hours later. They determined it was just a dead battery, so they jumped it and off they went. I left immediately for a late arrival to the party but had to stop for gas and the battery instantly died there. Can you guess what happened the next place I went? (If you guessed dead battery, you get the prize today. It’s found in the next paragraph so keep reading). The car was eventually taken into the shop where it received a whole new battery. Not having a faithful car, (for even just a day), led to one disappointment after another.
But here’s some good news-God is faithful 100% of the time. (There’s your prize-truth that’s indispensable.) “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22-23) God’s faithfulness is without limits, His touch reaches everywhere. From Psalm 35:6, “Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.” When you consider the many things in our lives that are unreliable, it is a blessing to have a trustworthy God. He stands ready to help you in your time of need. “As for God, His way is perfect; the Lord’s word is flawless; He shields all those who take refuge in Him.” (Psalm 18:30) So in this world of limited warranty’s, don’t settle for anything less than a lifetime guarantee.
